+11 and -30

Thank you music lovers in eastern Ontario for coming to shows in Kingston, Kemptville and Ottawa area. Thank you Musiikki Café, Job and Jacqueline van Hartingsveldt, The Branch Restaurant and Texas Grill, Ben and Christina Stapper and Mike Hogeterp for your kindness.

Relieved that that the -30 degree piercing chill didn't split my fiddle or guitar in two. I added some carbon foot print but saved some precious wood by starting the car fifteen minutes prior to loading gear and blasting the heat at an equal and opposite +30.

Some sweet down time with my hospitable bro who cooked up a storm and put out some flight glasses filled with top notch Ottawa valley micro brews. To top it off, he turns on his basement PA to eleven and invites my daughter Enye to sit behind his kit for the first time. Then Omie (aka uncle) Mike Hogeterp gives his all for Christopher Walkin. More cowbell, more cowbell. Feedback drenching, strings breaking, overdrive out of control. Enye smiling and hungry to find the pocket. Primordial goodness.
